The New York Jets find themselves heading on the road once again this week, returning to another part of the NFL that holds as much hurt and torment of that of Heinz field, in quest of what? (besides the obvious win) Revenge, redemption? Or something more important.... an identity perhaps? Will we, the fans have a clearer picture on what the 2012 New York Jets are about after another 60 minutes of football?
One of Sundays key battles to victory will be between Miami Dolphins center Mike Pouncey against the Jets nose tackle Sione Pouha. Pouncey is the unsung hero of the Dolphins running game, without his blocks and ability to create gaps Reggie Bush... well, we wouldn't all be talking about him as the main threat in this weeks game, so you get the picture.
Pouncey 6ft 5" 303lbs against Sione Pouha 6ft 3" 325lbs is a clash of the of the heavy weights. Pouha's absence during week one against the Bills was clearly noticeable as the Jets gave up 195 yards on the ground compared to just 66 yards against the Steelers last Sunday. Pouncey's abilities have helped Reggie Bush amass a total of 241 yards from 40 carries with 2 touchdowns from the fist two games.
Pouha may not get the better of Pouncey throughout the entirety of the game but his supporting cast of Devito, Wilkerson and co will ensure that the Jets come out on top. Does Pouncey have an advantage/inside info on Pouha after he squared up against his twin brother (Maurkice) last week in Pittsburgh? We'll see.
