Draft Picks Sign Deals

Jets first round pick (16th overall) Quinton Coples has put pen to paper on a four year deal, (with an optional fifth year). According to reports the deal is believed to be around $9m, which is fully guaranteed.

The 6ft 6" 284lb defensive end has already been named as a starter by Head Coach Rex Ryan, which will see Mike DeVito (who's contract was restructured last week) step to one side. Despite the changes DeVito remained upbeat.

"I'm glad to see that we got Quinton," "I mean, the more talent we can add, the better. I want to be on a team that has guys that want to win and guys who can add to our defense, and he's one of those guys."

The Jets also announced the signing of 7th round pick safety Antonio Allen to a four year contract. Allen adds depth and versatility to the team having played both linebacker and safety at South Carolina.
