Jets 6th Round Additions
/With the agony of watching the fourth and fifth round pass by without a selection the Jets added some much needed depth into key areas on the team in the sixth round.
Safety Josh Bush out of Wake Forest was ranked as the 87th best safety prospect in the draft. The three year starter is versatile having played corner back before spending the 2011 season as free safety. Bush a 5ft 11" 208lb prospect posses great man coverage skills and pace concerns have been raised over his size and strength.
If the focus for the Jets is the ground and pound game then human wrecking ball Running Back Terrance Ganaway out of Baylor is the perfect fit. The 6ft 239lbs Ganaway was the Jets second selection (202 overall) of the sixth round. He clocked up an impressive 1547 yards, scoring 21 TDs during 2011. Ganaway is ideal for short yardage situations and possesses good hands.
Man mountain 6ft 6" 340lbs Guard Robert Griffin also out of Baylor, not to be confused with his name sake Robert Griffin III (Now Redskins QB), was the Jets 3rd pick of the sixth round. Known to his friends as "Big Griff" he was rewarded for an outstanding senior year making the All-Big selection as a starter. He played Right Tackle during both his junior and senior year.
