D'Brickashaw Setting An Example

LT D'Brickashaw Ferguson has restructured his contract, resulting in an extra $7.5m in salary cap room. ESPN.go.com reports that the Jets converted $9m of Fergusons $9.985m base salary into a signing bonus.

After a season of turmoil it appears that the Jets have hit the ground running in preparation for the 2012 season, new coaches have already been installed and now D'Brickashaw is setting a fine example by restructuring his deal,  Fingers crossed fellow team members will take a leaf out of Ferguson's book (hint, hint Mark Sanchez who's base salary for 2012 is believed to be around $8.5m).

All that's left now is for us to pray that Mike T and Rex use the extra cap room to address the problem areas within the team.
